Odysseus Androutsos statue (Androutsos square)
That monument was erected in 1966, fundraised under the presidency of the Metropolitan of Nikopoli and Preveza Stylianos. The sculptor was N. Koleus.
The monument was probably created in order to host the remains that were transferred at a special ceremony from the place where Androutsos had died. His remains are under the statue, so this is considered to be his funeral monument.
This monument stands at a prestigious place at the so called square, in front of the city’s port, a place that all tourists visit, mostly during summer months.
